Where I’m going next: Germany.

A Brief History.

The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in Central Europe, bordered by Poland to the northeast, Slovakia to the southeast, Austria to the south and Germany to the west.

The Czechs lost their independence to the Habsburgs in 1620. With the collapse of Austria-Hungary, Czechoslovakia was formed.

For historical reasons, the Slovaks had the same level of economic and technological development as the Czechs.

In World War II, Czechoslovakia was forced to hand over the Sudetenland to Germany. Later, Germany invaded what remained of the country, establishing a “protectorate”.

At the end of the war, Soviet troops invade the country. Reunified, the country holds national elections in 1946.

On the night of August 20, 1968, Warsaw Pact troops invade Czechoslovakia.

At the end of the 1980s, the Communist Party collapsed.

On January 1, 1993, the two republics decided to form two separate states. On January 1, 1993, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Slovakia are founded.

Praga

Prague, capital of Czech Republic, is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Tourism has one of its main economic activities, with an excellent quality of life.

Sumptuous and preserved architecture. It is one of the few cities that were not destroyed by the war.

The city has an architecture of Gothic cathedrals, Baroque palaces and Art Nouveau buildings.

The historic center of Prague is a cultural heritage site of humanity, the famous Charles bridge, built in 1357 on the River Moldava, leads to Prague Castle – considered the largest castle in the world – with more than a thousand years of history.

It has a very busy night and of course for many it has the best beers in the world.

Ready? Then let's hit the road...

Book your flight.

Finding cheap flights can be difficult and stressful, but with the tips from the Blog and using Skyscanner or Google flights, the task can even be enjoyable.

Today, these are the most complete tools on the market

Book your accommodation.

With that in mind, it’s time to choose your accommodation.

The best tool is Booking.com.

For those who are going to use hostels, the best tool is Hostelworld.

I have used both very often and always find the best prices.

Get your insurance

Insurance is something we never want to use, but it is traumatic if we need it and don’t have it.

It will cover the costs of any eventuality of illness, injury, theft and/or cancellations of tickets, hotels, etc.

I have used WorldNomads or Assistcard, which always have the insurance with the coverage that travelers need, in addition to having coverage worldwide.
