Alexander Nevsky Cathedral em Sófia na Búlgaria
Catedral Alexander Nevsky - Sofia

Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is situated in the west of the country, between the majestic Vitosha Mountains and the Thracian Plain. With a history that dates back centuries, the city has become a cultural and political epicenter of the region.

Having visited the main objectives of this trip, the Pyramids of Egypt, Petra in Jordan, Istanbul and Cappadocia in Turkey, it is now time to start the journey back to Frankfurt.

My route will be Sofia in Bulgaria, Skopje in North Macedonia, Pristina in Kosovo, Belgrade in Serbia, Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zagreb in Croatia and Budapest in Hungary and back to Frankfurt.

Sofia is a small and pleasant city with a history that dates back more than 2 thousand years with vast parks and well-kept gardens that offer a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of life.
